had quite the fantastic weekend. although i was still not fully recovered from my lingering cough and was around spreading my germs everywhere i went, it was full of fun....
you knew it was gonna be a great weekend when u watch a movie u never knew existed and it turned out to be brilliant.. Hot Fuzz was the bomb. from the same ppl who came up with shaun of the dead.. it had to be good man. laughing from the start till the end. ridiculously hilarious... everyone should go check it out. after the movie, everyone had their very late dinner.. was about 9+ already... i had a pathetically small wan tan mee.... but i was still coughing so appetite wasn't good. so never really complained about it. dinner was followed by some aimless walking around town reminiscence of our jc days... but this time round, we are now old and cannot last too long walking around aimlessly. we get the tired and sweaty. so we ended up at giraffe to talk some cock over alcohol, coffee and tea... well, everyone wanted something different, wat to do..
and us restless people could not ba long long for too long. so we ended up going over to mr seah's place for some mahjong.... and after mahjong... the pathetically small wan tan mee effect was starting to set in.. so due to something, we had to go over to bedok for supper.. which was 1 piece of soggy egg prata to solve my hunger pangs.. it somehow worked. which is good. back home for some sleep, and den it's onwards to the next day...
mega shopping day. from 2 - 9+ followed by ktv till 2+.... my legs never felt so tired ever since my passing out parade practises back at police academy. haha! i'm a weird guy maybe. but i love shopping. it gives me a surreal feeling. makes me at peace with myself. so it was a therapeutic session... and of cos ktv... need i say more? haha, any good fren of mine would automatically know that it is bobby pua's favouritest activity. the only downside was the cough.. not very comfy singing and coughing throughout. it was old songs galore... us, showing our true age at the ktv, not shy to sing songs that only people our age will know.
made by fanny
so after ktv, i went home to surf abit of the net, and to sleep preparing for the next day. sunday arrives. it was badminton day. woke up abit late and rushed down to bishan to meet everyone.. before driving down to ntu for badminton. badminton was fun... but not that fun cos i was still playing with my cough. the weekend would have went up a couple more notches if not for the cough.. after getting asswhooped at badminton.. went to toa payoh to look for the legendary rojak. just to find out that the store beside the goreng pisang have been replaced... it's no longer the old man. old man's stall is at the interchange now but it's closed on sundays!!! arrrgh. i kena faked by the new stall so i bought their rojak. it wasn't that bad. but not as good as old man... nevermind. i'll go back soon for old man rojak. bought some goreng pisang back also. and the rest of the night i was damn tired.... there it is. the weekend. tiring but fun~ =) cheers to more happening weekends!!
been a terrific weekend, happening and tiring. too tired to blog abt it now. maybe tmr. but this is funny. our facebook in 40 years.... click to enlarge.... check out the details....
it was a good gathering, the turn out was quite good, the rest that did not appear were mostly overseas, or sick.. ok, only one fella was sick and yes, it was the co-planner... my phone was ringing non-stop just before the meeting time and people were all saying i'll be late! hahaha, but i'm just very glad that everyone made the effort to come down even if they're late.. till the next class outing~~~ woohoo~~

Electricity tariffs up almost 9% from July By Foo Siew Shyan, Channel NewsAsia | Posted: 15 June 2007 1615 hrs
SINGAPORE: Electricity tariffs for the next three months (Jul-Sep) will go up by almost nine per cent (8.83%).
This is an increase of about 1.6 cents per kilowatt per hour of electricity.
SP Services attributes the hike to higher fuel oil prices, which had gone up by about 20 per cent compared to the current quarter.
The latest tariff increase comes after two downward revisions since the start of this year.
The next revision, which is done quarterly, will be for the months of October to December. - CNA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

pertaining to my previous entry on money.... interestingly, blinkmummy put up an entry about money as well... and i feel that it's a very good read for all of us....... the example she put up is very common.... do take a few moments to read.....
i'm blogging this entry using safari... on my windows xp desktop... yes.. safari is on windows.. it looks cool and all.. yea.. much faster then internet explorer as it claimed.. but i feel that it feels abit sluggish compared with mozilla firefox. and it really takes up alot of resources.. slowed down my computer quite a reasonable bit. might be due to it's beta status now... it might be better in the future... however, it's still cool... and this post really proves that i'm a geek after all...
money... think that is the thing on everyone's mind nowadays huh? work your ass off for wat? money.... save wat so that u can go on a holiday? money.... save wat so that you can buy that mega big lcd tv? money..
the thing now is saving money. earning your own money to pay your parents. your parents would have done more then their fair share by now to provide for you. in other countries, other societies, in other times, u reach the age that you can do something, u'll get hauled off to do work. build houses, carry goods, cut woods, hunting for guys. sewing, crafting, cooking for girls. they do their own part so that they are no longer a burden to the parents.
but nowadays, we are still getting provided for at 20+! wtf is that man.. many people do not see the value of money as it is. you work, then you spend. you do not laze around... and still spend. that is absurb. question if the money is your money.. or your parent's money. if you're not working... den everything is your parent's money. that's as simple as that.
i'm jus venting... irritated by how people view money as something small and do not see it's true value... but maybe they've got too much of that to notice it's value. that's all... bye
LOS ANGELES - Isaiah Washington has lost his job on the hit ABC medical drama "Grey's Anatomy," five months after creating a furor with his use of an anti-gay slur.
Washington's contract option was not renewed for next season, series producer ABC Television Studios said Thursday.
"I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore," Washington said in a statement released through his publicist, Howard Bragman, without elaboration.
He drew fire after using the anti-gay epithet backstage at the
"This is something that will have changed the scope of his life," Heigl told Entertainment Weekly last month. Washington was "sorry and embarrassed" for the mistake, she said.
Washington tried to make amends and said he was seeking therapy.
He also met with officials from the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network and the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation and filmed a public service announcement in which he said "words have power" to hurt or heal.
The May finale of "Grey's Anatomy" opened the door for the departure of his character. Burke was on the verge of marrying Dr. Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh) but her doubts at first delayed and then derailed their splashy wedding.
Later, Yang found that Burke cleared out his favorite possessions from their apartment.
In May, Bragman said the actor intended to spend the summer working and not worrying about the show. Washington intended to continue his charity work in Sierra Leone, which a DNA test showed to be his ancestral home, and work on an independent movie.
Wah lau..... those people too sensitive lar!! now my fave cardiac surgeon is gone!!! wah lau!! damn sian leh...... i hope they can bring in someone who can be as good as him..... so they're just gonna end the burke yang saga like that? damn no ending lar... as if having allison leave not enough. now burke also leaving. only left those 2 'best frens' as big shot. but i can't wait to see Lexie Grey...
AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - Dutch students have developed powdered alcohol which they say can be sold legally to minors.
The latest innovation in inebriation, called Booz2Go, is available in 20-gramme packets that cost 1-1.5 euros ($1.35-$2).
Top it up with water and you have a bubbly, lime-colored and -flavored drink with just 3 percent alcohol content.
"We are aiming for the youth market. They are really more into it because you can compare it with Bacardi-mixed drinks," 20-year-old Harm van Elderen told Reuters.
Van Elderen and four classmates at Helicon Vocational Institute, about an hour's drive from Amsterdam, came up with the idea as part of their final-year project.
"Because the alcohol is not in liquid form, we can sell it to people below 16," said project member Martyn van Nierop.
The legal age for drinking alcohol and smoking is 16 in the Netherlands.
In Germany, alcopops -- sweet drinks containing alcohol and in powder form -- caused quite a stir when launched on to the market. Alcohol powder, classified as a flavoring, was sold in the United States three years ago.
The students said companies interested in making the product commercially could avoid taxes because the alcohol was in powder form. A number of companies are interested, they said.
LA County Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore says that Paris Hilton has been fitted for an ankle bracelet and put under house arrest for the next 40 days, after authorities decided to release Paris from jail due to medical reasons. She got out of jail just after 2:00 AM.
Whitmore says he cannot release details about Paris' "medical issue" due to confidentiality, but said that medical officials "constantly examined" her while she was in jail.
Paris will be under house confinement in her West Hollywood home for 40 days. After the 40 days are up, Whitmore says she will have "fulfilled her debt to society."
Whitmore made it clear that Paris was not released early -- she was reassigned. She is technically still in custody.
So even after her appeals failed and she has to go to jail, in the end, the rich and the powerful can still somehow make things happen. life is fair huh? suck ur thumb.....
Hours after she was sent home under house arrest Thursday for an undisclosed medical condition, the judge who put her in jail for violating her reckless-driving probation ordered her into court to decide if she should go back behind bars.
Hilton must report to court at 9 a.m. Friday, Superior Court spokesman Allan Parachini told The Associated Press.
"My understanding is she will be brought in in a sheriff's vehicle from her home," Parachini said.
The celebrity inmate was sent home from the Los Angeles County jail's Lynwood lockup shortly after 2 a.m. in a stunning reduction to her original 45-day sentence. She had reported to jail Sunday night after attending the MTV Movie Awards in a strapless designer dress.
She was ordered to finish her sentence under house arrest, meaning she could not leave her four-bedroom, three-bath home in the Hollywood Hills until next month.
City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo complained that he learned of her release the same way as almost everyone else — through news reports.
Then, late Thursday, he filed a petition questioning whether Sheriff Lee Baca should be held in contempt of court for releasing Hilton — and demanding that she be held in custody. Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer's decision to haul Hilton back to the courtroom came shortly after.
"It is the city attorney's position that the decision on whether or not Ms. Hilton should be released early and placed on electronic monitoring should be made by Judge Sauer and not the Sheriff's Department," said Jeffrey Isaacs of the city attorney's office.
Sauer himself had expressed his unhappiness with Hilton's release before Delgadillo asked him to return her to court. When he sentenced Hilton to jail last month, he ruled specifically that she could not serve her sentence at home under electronic monitoring.
Delgadillo's office indicated that it would argue that the Sheriff's Department violated Sauer's May 4 sentencing order.
Baca defended the decision to release Hilton, saying it was based on medical advice.
"It isn't wise to keep a person in jail with her problem over an extended period of time and let the problem get worse," he told the Los Angeles Times on Thursday, declining to specify Hilton's condition.
"My message to those who don't like celebrities is that punishing celebrities more than the average American is not justice," Baca said.
As word spread earlier Thursday that the 26-year-old poster child for bad celebrity behavior was back home, radio helicopter pilots who normally report on traffic conditions were dispatched to hover over her house and describe it to morning commuters. Paparazzi photographers on the ground quickly assembled outside its gates.
Hilton herself kept a low profile, although late in the morning a man arrived outside her house with a supply of cupcakes he said she had instructed him to distribute to the media horde.
Her parents also arrived and briefly entered, then left, the home.
Shortly before noon, Hilton issued a statement through her attorney.
"I want to thank the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and staff of the Century Regional Detention Center for treating me fairly and professionally," she said. "I am going to serve the remaining 40 days of my sentence. I have learned a great deal from this ordeal and hope that others have learned from my mistakes."
Attorneys differed on whether her treatment was unusual.
"She would have gotten out early if she was plain Jane," said Leonard Levine, who has handled numerous probation violation cases. He noted that overcrowding in the Los Angeles County jail system has led to thousands of nonviolent offenders serving only 10 percent of their sentences. "She did as much time as a normal person would have done."
Loyola University law professor Laurie Levenson said that she suspected the deal for Hilton's early release was in the works even before she entered the jail system — and that officials probably were anxious to get her out of their custody.
"The time and resources needed to take care of a Paris Hilton are huge," she said. "They have to make sure she is safe and her medical needs are attended to. Everything they did was going to be looked at under a microscope."
Levine said that with rewards being offered for pictures of Hilton in custody, jail officials would have had to monitor the cell phone cameras of every employee.
Rene Seidel of the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services said he had "never heard of" an inmate being released from jail for a medical condition.
Inmates with a cold are sent to a jail clinic, he said, and the seriously ill go to the jail ward of the Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center.
Hilton's path to jail began Sept. 7, when she failed a sobriety test after police saw her weaving down a Hollywood street in her Mercedes-Benz on what she said was a late-night run to a hamburger stand.
She pleaded no contest to reckless driving and was sentenced to 36 months' probation, alcohol education and $1,500 in fines.
In the months that followed she was stopped twice by officers who discovered her driving on a suspended license. The second stop landed her in Sauer's courtroom, where he sentenced her to jail.
after adam sandler's grow old with you, jason wade's you belong to me... here comes another song.... though without wade's beautiful voice, it's still a great romantic song....
Hey there Delilah What's it like in New York City? I'm a thousand miles away But girl tonight you look so pretty Yes you do Time Square can't shine as bright as you I swear it's true
Hey there Delilah Don't you worry about the distance I'm right there if you get lonely Give this song another listen Close your eyes Listen to my voice it's my disguise I'm by your side
Oh it's what you do to me Oh it's what you do to me Oh it's what you do to me Oh it's what you do to me What you do to me
Hey there Delilah I know times are getting hard But just believe me girl Someday I'll pay the bills with this guitar We'll have it good We'll have the life we knew we would My word is good
Hey there Delilah I've got so much left to say If every simple song I wrote to you Would take your breath away I'd write it all Even more in love with me you'd fall We'd have it all
Oh it's what you do to me Oh it's what you do to me Oh it's what you do to me Oh it's what you do to me
A thousand miles seems pretty far But they've got planes and trains and cars I'd walk to you if I had no other way Our friends would all make fun of us and we'll just laugh along because we know That none of them have felt this way Delilah I can promise you That by the time we get through The world will never ever be the same And you're to blame
Hey there Delilah You be good and don't you miss me Two more years and you'll be done with school And I'll be making history like I do You know it's all because of you We can do whatever we want to Hey there Delilah here's to you This ones for you
i dint know i had such a gem in my collection. was on the train back home and this song started playing on my sony ericsson. i was totally absorbed. you can really feel the emotion through the music. words cannot describe. listen....
LONDON, June 3 (Reuters) - Liverpool supporters have been identified as the worst behaved at European matches in a report to be handed by UEFA to the British Government in Brussels on Tuesday.
I'm sorry, but as long as fans in Italy are killing police officers, throwing flares at players, and intimidating/attacking rival fans, or Spanish fans are hurling racial abuse at players, and NOTHING is being done about it, I think UEFA should shut the f**k up about our supporters.

here is the yahoo top searched. Hi-5 and RuneScape... the kids still kinda dominate the internet huh? Loch Ness Monster!!! wtf? i thought it has been ard forever?? why suddenly appear agn? is there something i dunno??
just watched this show..... rainie yang in a totally different role as everyone knows her. no longer does she have the cutie pie image, but instead she's now a lesbian webcam girl ala nikki in heroes. i don't really know what to make of it. it's about a webcam girl, who meets her childhood sweetheart (a tattoo artist) after many years. flashback of their individual past happens throughout the show.... revealing more to us... however, there are still quite a few question marks left in my head after the movie.
supposed to be a arty farty kinda show but the cinematography was quite disappointing. kind of degenerated into a slow moving show. i shall give it 2.7/5 still pass because both rainie yang and isabella leong put in quite commendable performances.
SergioThree: there's other fish in the sea, man, she's just a girl
Beatsfromkorea: no dude, that's bullshit.
Beatsfromkorea: Think of it this way. if your precious copy of street fighter third strike broke and i told you "it's ok man, there's other games in the sea. here, play mortal kombat instead" what would you say? you'd be like, "fuck that, gimme third strike."
SergioThree: ...
SergioThree: you just reached me on a level that i never thought possible
Early this month, 18-year-old Allison Stokke walked into her high school track coach's office and asked if he knew any reliable media consultants. Stokke had tired of constant phone calls, of relentless Internet attention, of interview requests from Boston to Brazil.
In her high school track and field career, Stokke had won a 2004 California state pole vaulting title, broken five national records and earned a scholarship to the University of California, yet only track devotees had noticed. Then, in early May, she received e-mails from friends who warned that a year-old picture of Stokke idly adjusting her hair at a track meet in New York had been plastered across the Internet. She had more than 1,000 new messages on her MySpace page. A three-minute video of Stokke standing against a wall and analyzing her performance at another meet had been posted on YouTube and viewed 150,000 times.
mega drinking spree last night. one pint of hoegaarden from ice cold beer, couple from drinks from zouk winebar... and 3 jugs of beer btw the 2 of us at ktv. i think i've probably filled my beer quota for the rest of the month. haha! fantastic week. now i need a rest.
been a rather 'happening' week, and now i'm tired. guess the vesak day holiday mood got into everyone. monday started off pretty well... since it was the start of the Great Singapore Sale, what else was there to do other then shopping huh?
dinner was a simple fare at wisma's food court. and then towards the shops. it was the girls doing most of the shopping. the guys spent majority of the time talking cock. haha. it's not that i don't like shopping. i love shopping! i think i'm a rare breed of guys that shops alot. but maybe that day off form. so what do you do in singapore when the shops are all closed after 930?? no more shopping! go for drinks lor. went to this 'damn nice' place as suggested at clarke quay... nice hanging micro fibre lights from the ceiling, weird band playing.. and they had their own brew of beer. Pump Room. not that bad i guess.
spent tuesday sleeping half the time and doing my own stuffs. out and about again on wed. this time it was real shopping. could not find a nice wallet within my budget though. quick atas boon tong kee dinner before heading down to........ aha! clarke quay again. had a quick drink at clinic.. been wanting to check out the place for quite some time but did not really check it out. sitting outside.. not counted la huh.... walked into barfly, walked out... walked into fashionbar, walked out. holiday eve la... crowded max everywhere. so ended up at nectar-something to eat cakes. which was where i realised i have to go back to collecting jokes again. i seemed to have forgotten all my jokes. only left with a few stale ones. left out in the open for too long... ppl sian already. dun like. i'm not funny anymore.. boooooo.. but somehow we managed to laugh till each of us had a headache, jawache and stomache. dint know laughing was so painful huh...
left to collect the car via a pee filled, panty, bra lying around flight of stairs.. adventure of the night. try not to park at the liang court carpark. massively hard to get back up there without going thru the disgusting flight of stairs.
and finally! vesak day! holiday! pc show! and FUCKING CROWDED!!! damn tiring trying to manuever thru the never ending throng of people. not helped by my massive frame which makes it harder for me to squeeze thru little openings. annoying.. more shopping at funan before we all decided that our legs are all dying and had to go somewhere for dinner. Sammy's Curry House at Dempsey Road. quite fantastic fishhead curry. and at quite a reasonable price too. much cheaper then Muthu's Curry.
and just when everyone wanted to call it a day.... the adventure wasn't over yet. head to Botanic Gardens! OMG! damn dark all around. noticed a pair of father and son disappear into the oblivion. mystifying! where the hell were they going? what's there in the darkness? i dunno. we gave up trying to find them after everyone started complaining it was too dark... mystery of the night. the adventure did not materialize. next time then. Beer at Halia Restaurant before tracking back to the car and home. Bintan here we come?? i certainly hope so.
my leg is damn lemon lime now.... and its still freaking hot.... i'm hoping after typing all these it'll make me tired enough to knock out right after plonking on bed rather then rolling around in the heat. back to listening to all the old bands. puddle of mudd, staind, incubus, audioslave, fuel, 3 doors down, creed etc.... somehow i still prefer them so much more. what do you feel like listening to now?
